Exhibition Venue:Gallery 104-105, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts
Fast and slow are antonyms that describe both speed. The “snap taking” of Snap Taking & Slow Thinking refers to the rapid speed with which image content is formed, while “slow thinking” refers to the slow, meticulous and complex preparatory work behind staged photography creation. By comparing fast and slow this exhibition aims to highlight the social observations behind the image representation of staged photography. Through the photographic creative works of 9 artists──Chien-Yang Wang, Isa Ho, Mong-jane Wu, Ching-hui Chou, Yuan Gao, Chin-Pao Chen, Yi-ping Pong, Ben Yu and Shun-Fa Yang, the exhibition discusses various social issues and phenomena, in doing so displaying the diverse and heterogeneous nature of the contemporary social spectrum.
