Artist Chu The-I is participating in “Pioneers of the Avant-Garde Movement in Taiwan: From Li Chun-Shan to His Disciples” organized by National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. This exhibition gives prominence to works by a total 35 artists, foremost Li Chun-Shan (1912-1984), the mentor of Taiwanese modern painting, and his disciples which include Chu The-I. The works displayed in this exhibition encompass a riotous profusion of forms ranging from drawing, watercolor, ink-wash and oil painting to ceramics, mixed-media, sculpture, installation and digital interaction.
